From early warning, to threat neutralisation, our platforms cover all levels from very short-range systems, to extended protection across the entire battle-space including Airspace Mobility Solutions, Vehicles and Tactical Systems and Missile Defence, Optronics, and Radar.Thales Edisoft Portugal, S.A. is focused on providing the most advanced solutions in the Aeronautics, Space, Security and Defense domain.Thales in Portugal is part of an internationally leading technology group in the defence and security, aerospace as well as digital identity and security markets.For more than 35 years, Thales acts in Portugal for global Defence and Aerospace markets and promotes and delivers innovative solutions that enhance its customer’s critical systems´ security, on land, sea, air, space and cyberspace, through a technical team of excellence.We are currently looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to join our Airspace Mobility Solutions team!Requirements:Graduated in the fields of Management or Engineering;Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project Portfolio Management or 5 years’ experience managing complex projects or business processes;Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate and prioritize resources across multiple projects;Enjoys working within an Agile team and thrives in a challenging environment requiring reactivity and resourcefulness;Knowledge of Portuguese and English;Knowledge of Air Traffic Management systems and technologies (nice to have).Responsibilities:Manage and optimize the project portfolio, ensuring prioritization and alignment with the unit’s strategy and performance targets (including EBIT);Lead customer liaison activities, including driving negotiations when required;Manage, mentor, and develop the team of project managers, setting both team and individual objectives;Monitor and control project execution through proper governance and control mechanisms, ensuring timely and effective delivery;Drive continuous process improvement and ensure full compliance with Thales Group’s rules and Code of Ethics across all projects.The Group invests more than €4 billion per year in Research & Development in key areas, particularly for critical environments, such as Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum and cloud technologies.In 2024, the Group generated sales of €20.6 billion.For our more than 83,000 employees in 68 countries we open up visionary perspectives, realise individual career paths and enable creative freedom.
