Company DescriptionNERIC (National Egyptian Railway Industries Company) is a private joint-venture company formed by a group of Egyptian companies in partnership with Governmental entities. The main objective is to establish a rolling stock plant in East Port Said Industrial, part of the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The plant will be a major milestone in Egypt’s strategic industrialization plan, contributing to the rolling stock sector goals set forth in Vision 2030. NERIC aims to develop the local rolling stock manufacturing value chain with support from international OEMs.Job SummaryTo support project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities by developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring progress, controlling costs, and preparing reports to ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and client requirements. The Projects Planner & Cost Control Engineer works closely with the project team and Projects manager to ensure that project objectives related to time and cost are achieved efficiently and provides accurate forecasting, progress measurement, and performance analysis to support project decision-makingDuties & Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Scheduling:Develop , update and monitor projects schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project under supervision.Establish and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project milestones.Track project progress, identify deviations, and assist in preparing corrective action plans.Monitor resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials) and update resource-loaded schedules.Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards.Coordinate with site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to gather progress data.  Help in preparing the EOT 2. Cost Control:Prepare, record and maintain project cost budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.Track actual costs against budget; identify variances and provide early warnings of potential overruns and support the preparation of cost performance reports.Help in Evaluating changes, variations, and claims to determine cost and time impacts.Monitor procurement and subcontractor payments against progress and approved budgets.Participate in cash flow analysis, cost forecasting, and budget revisions.Prepare monthly cost reports, S-curves, and variance analyses for management review.Support project close-out with cost reconciliation and lessons learned. 3. Reporting & Performance Monitoring:Prepare Earned Value Management (EVM) reports and performance indices (CPI, SPI).Generate S-curves, histograms, and cost-trend charts.Maintain updated planning and cost databases.Support project audits and management reviews with accurate data and documentation.Maintain an updated project database and filing system for all planning and cost data. 4. Coordination & Communication:Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams to ensure consistent cost and progress data.Attend project coordination and progress meetings.Support in presenting schedule and cost reports to management and clients. Qualifications & Experience:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.Experience: 3–7 years of experience in project planning and cost control in mega projects. (industrial, manufacturing, or factory projects is an advantage )Software Skills:Primavera P6 (proficient)MS Project (intermediate)Excel (advanced; able to build cost and progress tracking sheets)Power BI is an advantage.Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an advantageIf you are interested , Kindly send your cv with position mentioned in subject title, to : mmounir@neric.com
