Job Title: Proposal EngineerLocation: RiyadhSalary: SAR 10,000 – 12,000Job Code: 027/001/171Industry: Water TreatmentJob Brief:The Proposal Engineer will be responsible for reviewing RFQs and tenders, preparing technical and commercial proposals, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting the sales department throughout the bidding and pre/post-sales process. The role requires strong technical knowledge in water and wastewater treatment applications and the ability to prepare accurate BOQs, cost sheets, quotations, and submittals while ensuring alignment with company standards.Job Responsibilities:Review RFQs and tenders, send queries to customers, and understand the complete bidding process.Finalize the process design based on the provided design criteria.Prepare BOQs, review cost sheets, prepare quotations, and discuss the same with the Sales Manager and/or Engineer.Ensure that proposals and quotations are issued in line with company requirements.Select fabricators, manufacturers, and suppliers to minimize costs and improve profitability in line with company goals.Maintain a strong knowledge base of local fabricators for the fabrication of tanks, vessels, clarifiers, DAF units, etc.Maintain a comprehensive database of manufacturers and suppliers of various water and wastewater treatment components.Prepare and support the sales team with technical specifications for consultants and clients.Prepare preliminary control philosophies for finalized schemes.Prepare technical submittals.Coordinate with the engineering team during pre-sales and post-sales activities.Maintain and update the database of project approvals and references.Be keen to take on any other responsibility assigned by management.Job Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.3–5 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment.Sound technical knowledge of various water and wastewater technologies.Experience working on applications such as domestic water treatment, Legionella treatment, STP, ETP, lagoon/pool water treatment, HVAC, etc.Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Self-starter, ambitious, self-motivated, team player, quick learner, and resourceful with a positive attitude.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).High degree of integrity and work ethics.Proficient in MS Office tools, Salesforce, and ERP systems (IFS).Driving license is a plus but not mandatory for this role.
