EU Strategy is dedicated to aligning with client priorities and achieving impactful results.Role Description1. Mandatory Core Competencies & Experience2+ years of professional experience in a legal, regulatory, or public policy role, preferably focused on EU law.Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and practical experience with at least two of the following core EU legal frameworks:The Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) and its national transposition.The EU Directive on Copyright in the Digital Single Market (EUCD/DSM Directive), particularly its provisions on online content sharing service providers.The Network and Information Security (NIS) Directive (and/or the upcoming NIS2 Directive) and related cybersecurity legislation.Proven ability to track, analyze, and advise on the implementation and future direction of related EU digital and media legislation (e.g., Data Act, DSA, DMA, EMFA, etc.).2. Essential Soft Skills & Team FitExceptional written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory for drafting clear legal opinions, policy papers, and reports.Proven capacity to be a proactive, flexible, and collaborative member of a small, dynamic team.Strong analytical skills with an ability to distill complex legal texts into clear, practical advice.QualificationsLiving in BrusselsExpertise in Governmental Affairs, Government Relations, and Public AffairsStrong Communication and relationship-building skillsMedia Relations and profile-raising capabilitiesProven ability to analyze and interpret EU legislative processesExcellent organizational and project management skillsProficiency in English (additional European languages are a plus)Experience in the EU policy environment or similar is preferredMaster’s degree in Political Science, Law, International Relations, or a related fieldCandidates who do not have the specified legislative skills will not be considered or contacted.
