The Department of Health (DOH), Office of Drug Surveillance and Misuse Prevention (ODSMP) is seeking a motivated Public Health Program Manager. You will also supervise staff in the administration and delivery of these vital public health programs. Duties will include:Managing the Patient Advocacy Program, PA Substance Use Navigation Program (PASUN), F irst Responder Training Program (FRACT), overdose prevention grants, and health care provider and care team education programs E nsuring that the goals and objectives of all overdose prevention and harm reduction programs are achieved Developing improvement plans and recommending modifications to programs to ensure they reach the intended audience Preparing statistical and epidemiological data, personnel and fiscal requirements, budget information, project narratives, and work plans for federal funding opportunities Evaluating employee performance and developing improvement plans Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per weekWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. You will report to the office on Tuesday and Wednesday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: Seven years of professional experience in development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment , environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or One year as a Public Health Program Administrator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ; or An associate's degree in allied health sciences or nursing and five years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A bachelor's degree and three years of professional public health, health, allied health sciences, drug and alcohol or related experience, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health, or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience; or A master's degree in public health, health services administration, health care administration, health education, public health administration, public administration, nursing, epidemiology, social work, nutrition, hospital administration, physical therapy, occupational therapy, business administration, or education and two years of professional experience in the development or evaluation of grants, contracts or programs for the provision of social, employment, environmental health or health related services, which includes one year of administrative, supervisory or consultative experience.
