About the RoleMonale is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Account Manager for a part-time contract role based in Sydney or Melbourne, supporting our Brand & Content Strategists across PR, social media, content coordination, community management, and client relationships. You’ll also support media relations and occasionally attend events on behalf of Monale.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Brand & Content Strategy ExecutionTranslate strategies from the Brand & Content Strategist into clear action plans and timelines.Ensure all activities and deliverables align with client brand positioning and business goals.Flag risks, opportunities, and insights to the strategist and help keep projects on track.Client Relationship ManagementAct as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.Build strong, trusting relationships through clear, consistent, and proactive communication.Lead regular status updates and contribute to review and planning meetings.Anticipate client needs and proactively surface ideas, improvements, and opportunities.PR, Media Relations & EventsImplement PR strategies in collaboration with the Brand & Content Strategist.Lead day-to-day media relations, following up, and nurturing journalist relationships.Draft press releases, media pitches, media lists, briefing docs, and Q&As as needed (in collaboration with Communications Strategist)Identify and help secure media opportunities (interviews, features, bylined articles).Monitor media coverage and prepare concise reports and insights for clients and the strategist.Attend industry events, press events, and client activations in Sydney on behalf of Monale to represent the brand, build relationships, and report back key insights and opportunities.Social Media Management, Community Management & Social ListeningManage day-to-day operations of client social media accounts (e.g. scheduling, posting, basic optimisation).Oversee community management, including monitoring comments, messages, tags and brand mentions.Respond to community interactions in line with brand guidelines, or escalate where appropriate.Conduct social listening to identify trends, sentiment, opportunities, risks, and competitor activity.Prepare regular social and community reports and share key insights and recommendations with the strategist.Content Coordination & Quality ControlCoordinate content production (briefing writers/designers, gathering inputs and feedback from clients, managing approvals).Manage content calendars across channels (social, PR, blogs, email, etc.).Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, brand voice, and alignment with strategy.Ensure deadlines are met and deliverables are consistent, polished, and on brief.Project & Account ManagementManage timelines, deliverables, and workflows for your accounts (utilising G-Suite, Dropbox and ClickUp)Coordinate with internal team members and/or external freelancers where required.Track performance and propose data-informed next steps.Accurately track and report on work completed and hours logged.Required Experience & SkillsExperienceProven experience (typically 2-3+ years) in PR, communications, or marketing, with a focus on:Media relationsClient communication and account managementContent storytellingSocial media and community managementDemonstrated success securing media coverage and building media relationships.Communication & WritingVery strong writing and editing skills, with excellent grammar, structure, and tone control.Strong comprehension skills and the ability to quickly understand complex topics and translate them into clear, engaging narratives.Confident verbal communication skills for client, media and event interactions.Strategic & Analytical SkillsStrategic thinker who understands how PR, content, social and community management support broader brand and business objectives.Comfortable interpreting social and media performance data and using insights to inform recommendations.Able to prioritise effectively and manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlines.Personal AttributesHighly detail-oriented and organised.A proactive, solutions-focused self-starter who brings ideas, not just tasks.Reliable, accountable, and comfortable working in a part-time (15 hrs to 20 hrs p/week) capacity.Sydney-based and willing/able to attend in-person events and meetings on behalf of Monale.
