Job Description

Main Purpose: Coordinate the efficient maintenance and repairs of all Puma Depots plant and equipment. Supervise all maintenance activities at Khoemacau Mine (KCM) and ensure contractors adhere to Puma rules and regulations. Drive the effective operation of the Depot preventative maintenance program to ensure regulatory compliance for all Depot facilities while meeting Puma SAPS requirements. Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Ensure the Depots continue to comply with relevant standards and other regulatory requirements to meet our legal operating obligations. Complete monthly reports showing completed and outstanding preventative maintenance jobs and equipment break downs.

Ensure all Depot (Fuel and Lubes) Maintenance tasks and duties are carried out in accordance with the Puma SAPS system and written Safe Operating Procedures. Maintain the Depots Maintenance program or similar, for Preventative Maintenance scheduling, breakdown repairs, project work, testing and Inspections of Depot Plant and equipment, including supply and procurement of parts and materials, for relevant Maintenance and Capital works inside the Depot. Also providing spec sheets, vendor manuals, P&IDs, pictures, isolation plans, job plan/feedback form, etc.

As history and equipment operation data is compiled, provide feedback to Manager on schedules for optimum operational performance while meeting statutory requirements. Identify tasks to be performed by Depot Operators, and tasks that require qualified tradespeople/contractors. Write and develop procedures, Work Instructions and provide work scopes for changes which would result in triggering a Management of Change (MOC). Allocate resources for equipment breakdowns as a priority ensuring minimum down time. Manage allocation of contract resources between Fuel Depot and Lubes Facilities to ensure cost effective utilization of contractor resources.

Maintain control over critical spares to minimize loss and down time. In consultation with Depot Manager, control all contractors hired to perform any Depot maintenance work on site, ensuring they have work Permits needed and ensure daily works program is communicated to Operators on site. All personnel on site are adhering to local site rules and utilizing the correct PPE and are following site procedures. Write Permits to Work (General, Hot Work, Heights, Confined Space, Hazardous, and Lifting) as required for day-to-day maintenance and works on both the Fuel and Lubes sites.

Alert Operations Manager and Shift Supervisor if maintenance activities will disrupt any Business operations. Discuss with Shift Supervisor any equipment to be isolated so LOTO procedures can be implemented. Coordinate with the procurement team to establish contracts with service providers to service the repairs and maintenance requirements for fuel Depots and to monitor their performance against agreed Service Level Agreements.

Provide support to other fuel facilities as requiredDemonstrating your administrative and organizational skills, you will create task lists (job plan library) for recurring jobs, purchase requisitions and reservations for necessary materials, equipment or services and order material, and Job Packets as neededRequirements: QualificationsDegree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is necessaryMaintenance scheduling / planning experience would be advantageous. Project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2) would be advantageous. ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably with Oil Industry exposure. Understanding of the operating requirements in a fuel & Lubes Depots and Gantry loading systems, and Safety and Quality control procedures.

Must be technically competent with the use of PLC’s and electronics, and equipment maintenance issues including pumping systems and pneumatic systems. Prior experience in issuing and working under Permits would be an advantage. SkillsComputer skills involving Maintenance software an advantage.
