Coda Search is partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturing company who are based in New York but open to a remote hire. The firm is a leading manufacturing company that focuses on sourcing and producing high-quality raw materials for big box retailers across the nature. The team is seeking to hire a Purchasing Manager will oversee all raw material procurement activities, negotiate supplier contracts, and drive cost savings through strategic sourcing. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market insight, and the ability to manage supplier performance in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead purchasing strategy and execution for all raw materials.Negotiate pricing, terms, and long-term supply agreements with key suppliers.Track market trends, pricing, and supply risks to inform purchasing decisions.Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability.Partner with production, finance, and logistics teams to forecast needs and align inventory levels.Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities across procurement operations.Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards and policies.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably with raw materials.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Solid understanding of commodity markets, pricing, and logistics.Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management abilities.
