We have been dedicated to delivering cutting-edge consulting services and recruiting all levels of IT positions for our clients.We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Python Developer to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.Location: Toronto DowntownHybrid: 2 days in-office (will increase to 4 days in future)Contract Duration: ASAP to 10/31/2026Possibility of extension: Yes, based on performance and business needsConversion to FTE: May be, based on performance and business needsTypical Day in Role:• Work with BAs to understand requirements and design solution• Provide hand-on development, optimizing and simplifying the codes and ensure code quality standards are met.• Unit test code changes & help BAs and stakeholders in debugging issues• Assist in task planning & estimation.• Assist with production implementation of changesCandidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:• 3-4 years of experience as Python developer• 4 years of experience with SQL• 2+ years of recent experience with GCP cloud• 2+ years of Exp with Bitbucket and GIT• 2 + years of Experience with scheduling tools like AirflowNice-To-Have Skills:• Previous exp with retail risk models is highly preferred• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes is nice to have• Previous recent experience with top 5 banks is highly preferred.Soft Skills:• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Ability to work with a cross functional Teams effectively• Strong communication skills• Proven ability to work with both external and internal stakeholdersDegrees or certifications:• Bachelor's degree or related work experience• Certified with GCP or Python is nice to have
