QA Automation Engineer

About the RoleWe’re seeking a QA Automation engineer to design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks that ensure product reliability and seamless user experiences. You’ll collaborate with developers, analysts, and product teams to validate features end-to-end, automate repetitive testing processes, and help keep CI/CD pipelines running smoothly.This is an ideal role for someone passionate about automation, quality, and building systems that enable faster, more confident releases across complex software environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain automated test suites for UI and APIs using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, and Karate.Create, manage, and validate test data using SQL and backend database checks.Partner with developers and analysts to define clear acceptance criteria and ensure story-to-test traceability.Analyze, triage, and resolve pipeline test failures to maintain consistent build health.Automate functional, regression, and negative tests across front-end and backend systems.Contribute to release readiness through coverage reporting, risk assessment, and validation sign-off.Document test cases, results, and artifacts in alignment with organizational standards.Continuously improve test frameworks — refactor for maintainability, enhance coverage, and drive efficiency.Advocate for quality-first principles, including shift-left testing, accessibility validation, and performance awareness.QualificationsRequired5+ years of experience in software QA or test automation within an Agile environment.Hands-on expertise with Selenium, Cucumber, and/or Karate frameworks.Strong SQL skills and experience validating data integrity across environments.Proven ability to write, maintain, and troubleshoot automated scripts.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test reporting tools.Excellent analytical and documentation skills.PreferredExperience with API testing, data-driven testing, or contract validation.Understanding of performance, accessibility, or security testing principles.Exposure to cloud-based test environments or containerized deployments.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experie
