QA Engineer

As a Test Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring our software is robust, scalable, and built with quality at its core. You’ll be the go-to expert on testing within the project team, shaping the way we deliver reliable, intuitive technology that supports care professionals every day.What You’ll Do:Take ownership of quality within the project team, advocating for robust, testable, and stable softwareDesign, implement, and maintain both manual test scenarios, frameworks, and toolsCollaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define and refine acceptance criteria and test plansExecute manual test suites, and perform exploratory and non-functional testingEnsure high-quality reporting on test results, coverage, and defectsTest web applications and APIs using tools such as Postman and RestSharpContribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and overall development qualityCollaborate with developers in maintaining high unit testing standardsWhat You’ll Bring:Strong experience in manual testing of web and app softwareProficient with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, Jira, Azure Dev Ops, Test railHands-on experience testing web applications and REST APIsFamiliarity with relational (SQL Server) and NoSQL database testingExcellent attention to detail and strong organisational and communication skills(Desirable) Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Azure environmentsA proactive mindset and passion for delivering high-quality software in a collaborative environmentHands-on experience in an agile scrum environment(Desirable) Experience or exposure to test automation frameworksWhat We Offer: A base salary of £35,000 - £45,000 and bonus depending on experience Modern town centre offices in Belfast, with opportunity for ad hoc home working 25 days holiday, increasing with serviceContributory pension schemeAdditional perks including; cycle to work scheme, staff discounts portal and Employee Assistance ProgrammeAt Person Centred Software, we’re leading the digital revolution in social care.
