For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.About the role To provide specialist assessment of patients attending/admitted to hospital with alcohol related issues using AUDIT C and AUDIT 10 screening toolsProvide advice, support and training to hospital staff regarding drug and alcohol awareness, screening, assessment processes and referral pathwaysWork with community teams to ensure assertive and effective follow up of both repeat presentations and discharges from the hospitalDevelop specific links with identified specialist acute services and provide in-reach to hospital wards including Gastroenterology/Hepatology; Orthopaedic falls prevention services; specialist clinics (i.e. Hypertensive Disease); observation ward; EDAbout youTraining and/or experience in psychosocial interventionHave the ability to work in an environment where they may be subject to upsetting and disturbing information and patient presentationHave the ability to build working relationships and communicate with all members of the Emergency MDTAbility to manage challenging behaviour in a calm and professional mannerSound working knowledge of safeguardingWhat we will give to you25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
