The analyst calibrates laboratory instrumentation in accordance with company procedures, performs complex tests using specialized methods and equipment, and contributes to quality management activities. This role is essential in maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within the DuPont Shift structure.ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Analysis & TestingAnalyze and report the disposition of in-process and final product samples using specialized methods and equipmentEvaluate reported results for consistency with the processConduct non-routine sample testing using approved procedures and methodologyValidate and interpret test data to verify specifications are met and identify remedial actions required to ensure conformanceTroubleshoot questionable test results through analytical problem-solvingEquipment Management & CalibrationPerform routine calibration checks of laboratory equipment according to established protocolsMaintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentationPrepare tests and standardize laboratory instrumentationSample ManagementManage and organize retain samplesPrepare and ship samples to plant and other parties as necessaryMaintain proper documentation of all sample processing activitiesOperational ExcellenceAid Lab Manager, Supervisor and Chemist in laboratory operationsHealth, Safety & ComplianceUnderstand and comply with regulatory, company, and departmental Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security guidelines, policies, and proceduresFollow the organization's health, safety, and environment policies to identify and mitigate environmental risksAttend and participate in scheduled safety training, operational training, and employee meetingsUnderstand and utilize SOPs and proper PPE when performing routine and required tasksMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required + 3 years of laboratory experience focusing on polymers; ORAssociate degree plus 1 year of laboratory experience focusing on polymersExperience in calibrating and standardizing laboratory instrumentationHands-on experience with polymer testing equipmentUnderstanding of SAP, LIMS, and quality management systems Proficiency with standard office software and ability to prepare complex documentsExperience in troubleshooting instrumentation and analytical methodologiesOutstanding verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize work to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.Excellent problem-solving/decision-making skills.Ability to multi-taskCandidates must have a valid driver's license.
