Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Title: QA Engineer Location: Kuleshwor, Kathmandu (Onsite)Working Hours: 8:15 PM – 5:15 AM (Night Shift) Working Days: Monday – Friday Role Overview We are looking for a QA Engineer with solid experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical abilities, hands-on experience with automation tools, and the ability to work closely with developers and project teams to ensure product quality at every stage. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and execute automation test scripts for web and API applications. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing. • Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test documentation. • Identify and report defects; collaborate with developers for timely resolution. • Enhance and maintain existing automation frameworks. • Participate in Agile ceremonies: daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. • Validate system performance, usability, and reliability as required. • Ensure best QA practices, processes, and testing standards are followed. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA (manual + automation). • Strong experience with automation tools like: o Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent. • API testing & automation experience (Postman, RestAssured, etc.). • Experience with at least one scripting/programming language: o Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#. • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies. • Experience with version control tools (Git/Bitbucket). • Experience integrating automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). • Strong debugging and analytical skills. Preferred Skills • Experience building or enhancing automation frameworks. • Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, k6). • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). • Experience working with US-based or international teams.
