Quality Assurance Engineer

The MissionWorld Family English is currently undertaking a bold digital transformation project to modernise and augment its product and service offerings. This role would be part of the Innovations arm of World Family English, creating impactful, cross-market, scalable products and services. About the RoleYou’ll play an essential role in the team building the English Tab, World Family’s flagship digital product. As the Quality Assurance Engineer, you will develop, maintain, and execute test plans to ensure the English Tab — a child-centric English learning device — is robust, consistent, and delivers a delightful experience for every child and family.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with software engineers to ensure high-quality delivery through manual test planning and execution.Validate new features and ensure regression testing coverage before deployment.Execute structured test cases as well as exploratory testing to uncover edge-case issues.Ensure defects are clearly documented with accurate reproduction steps and relevant supporting details.Review functionality against design requirements to ensure accurate layout, spacing, animations, and typography.Requirements4+ years in a Software Quality Assurance or similar testing role.Strong ability to write clear defect reports with reproducible steps for developers and stakeholders.Experience analyzing written and implicit requirements and converting them into detailed test plans.Experience testing mobile applications across a range of devices and form factors.Strong attention to detail in visual UI testing.Comfortable performing exploratory/“monkey” testing to uncover hidden issues.Experience using issue-tracking systems such as Jira or Asana.Proactive in discovering and communicating potential issues early.Strong written and spoken English communication skills.Stand-out CandidatesExperience collaborating directly with developers to identify root causes of defects.Ability to perform black-box API testing (REST or GraphQL) using tools such as Bruno or Postman.Basic understanding of HTTP concepts to help troubleshoot API-related issues.Ability to read Japanese, Traditional Chinese, or Korean is a bonus.LocationRemote — preferred timezone: GMT+8About Us World Family English (WFE) is a leading provider of English language learning products and services primarily for children aged 0 to 7.
