As a fully integrated supplier of manufacturing and engineering services, we provide steel components and complex, high value-added assemblies for the agricultural, construction, mining, energy, heavy truck, and industrial sectors.Position OverviewThe Quality Manager is responsible for providing leadership, instilling a sense of urgency, and driving problems toward resolution to ensure that quality systems, procedures, and instructions meet customer requirements, organizational objectives, and regulatory compliance. This position plays a critical role in strengthening customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.Key ResponsibilitiesDirect 8D problem-solving teams for all customer-related quality issues, including tracking, reporting, issue resolution, and maintaining records as required.Serve as the primary contact for all customer quality concerns, ensuring appropriate communication and resolution.Provide support across all departments for quality system development, corrective and preventive action, and problem-solving.Develop and maintain strong relationships with personnel from major OEMs, other QA Managers, Directors, and Management teams.Assist in supplier selection, certification, and performance monitoring as required.Support improvements in statistical process control (SPC) within manufacturing operations and the supplier base.Complete all APQP-related activities and other Quality Management System requirements as needed.Ensure conflict and productivity issues are managed directly, constructively, and professionally in all circumstances.Drive continuous quality improvement year-over-year, supporting our strategic deployment model (BEST Wheel and PREP process).Identify opportunities and forecast resources to achieve quality improvement targets.Develop an annual quality business plan and budget.Enforce customer-specific requirements and ensure compliance.Participate in training to develop and maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certifications.Collaborate with other departments to ensure the factory achieves and maintains the highest possible customer satisfaction ratings and lowest PPM levels.Identify opportunities for improvement related to quality, design, or production processes.Supervise, coach, and develop quality personnel.Report monthly Quality PREP results to the Management Team and in team meetings.Monitor all customer-related costs (complaints, sorting, inspections, etc.).Travel to customer sites as required (presentations, corrective action reports, etc.), sometimes on short notice.Perform other duties as necessary in support of departmental goals.Comply with company handbook requirements and OHSA standards.Follow all operational procedures and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality, and Environmental programs (IATF 16949, ISO 14001).Characteristics We ValueAbility to manage multiple challenging assignments concurrently, moving swiftly and decisively while working collaboratively.Strong personal commitment to high quality standards.Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive interpersonal relationships.Strategic thinker with effective problem-solving abilities.Responsible, accountable, and perceptive.A true team player.Education, Skills & Experience RequiredBachelor’s Degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) required.ASQC certifications (Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Auditor, Certified Quality Manager) considered an asset.Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing.Strong working knowledge of quality systems.Demonstrated leadership, project management, and facilitation skills.Strong problem-solving experience, including root cause analysis.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Proficiency with Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA.Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, 5-Phase, 7-Step, Root Cause Analysis, etc.).Why Join UsOpportunity to make a direct impact as a leader in quality for a recognized North American manufacturing organization.Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.A dynamic, team-oriented work environment.Career growth opportunities across Canada and the USA.Apply today to join our team and help us achieve the highest standards of quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.
