60 %The Experimental Animal Center (EAC) is responsible for all in-vivo research of the University of Bern and cares for the animals and the infrastructure for conducting animal experiments. The 3Rs (Reduce, Refine, Replace), the "Culture of Care" and compliance with guidelines and regulations are cornerstones of the EAC strategy.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and ensure the continued success of our research programs.The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality standards within the EAC.Tasks Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and inspections of study activities to verify adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement. Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance practices. Collaborate with study directors, principal investigators, and facility managers to ensure that all research activities meet quality and regulatory requirements. Manage and maintain documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including audit reports, training records, and SOPs. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors. Stay updated with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices and implement necessary updates to the quality assurance program. Foster a culture of quality, and continuous improvement within the Centre.Requirements Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related field; a degree in Quality management, a Master's degree or higher is an advantage. Proven experience in quality assurance. Experience with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) principles is an advantage. Proven management experience in complex structures. Goal-oriented and have excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
