Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer – OTT/VOD Platform

Join a dynamic media-tech organization delivering cutting-edge OTT and VOD experiences to audiences across platforms. Our application is live and evolving rapidly, with new version currently under development. We’re seeking a meticulous and proactive QA Engineer to ensure seamless performance across both live and upcoming releases.Key Responsibilities:End-to-End Testing of both the Live OTT/VOD application and Version 2 under development.Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and smart TV platforms.Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and UI/UX testing across multiple environments.Collaborate closely with Product, Development, DevOps, and Support teams to ensure timely and high-quality releases.Validate video playback, streaming quality, DRM, CDN integration, and user authentication, subscriptions, etc. flows. And also validate on Content Management System, User Management, Subscription Management and MIS Dashboard at Portal.Monitor and test backend APIs, content ingestion workflows, metadata accuracy, and analytics tracking.Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA.Participate in release readiness reviews and provide QA sign-off for production deployments.Ensure cross-device compatibility and multi-platform consistency (iOS, Android, Web, Smart TVs, etc.).Support UAT cycles and assist in root cause analysis for production issues.Required Skills & Experience:3+ years of QA experience, preferably in media, OTT, or streaming platforms.Strong understanding of video delivery workflows, encoding formats, and streaming protocols (HLS, DASH).Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud environments (AWS preferred).Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and documentation abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities.✅ Preferred Qualifications:Experience with OTT analytics platforms (Conviva, Mux, etc.).Knowledge of DRM systems, ad tech integrations, and subscription/payment flows.Exposure to load testing tools (JMeter, Locust) and monitoring dashboards (Datadog, Grafana).📅 Employment Type: Full-time💼 Team: Idea Incubator (Product)
