About the roleBased on an 2:2 FIFO roster ex Perth, the position of Quantity Surveyor supports a major structural remediation project within the iron ore sector. You will provide accurate scoping support, measurement, budgeted quantity & cost control, and contract administration to ensure the delivery of critical structural integrity works. Working closely with engineering, planning, cost and construction teams, you will help ensure packages of work are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with commercial and regulatory requirements.Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:Support Structural Programs – Collaborate with engineering and asset integrity teams to inspect, plan, measure and manage structural repair, rehabilitation, and upgrade initiatives.Deliver Project Controls – Collaborate with planning and cost control functions to ensure project budgets are maintained and proactively manage the impact of changes in scope.Drive Commercial Value – Support the identification and valuation of changes in scope, identify cost efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.Ensure Compliance & Mitigate Risk – Maintain adherence to financial, legal, and regulatory requirements, supporting risk management in commercial and contractual matters. About youQualified Professional – Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.Industry Experience – 5+ years in mining or heavy industrial sectors.Regulatory & Standards Knowledge – Strong understanding of Australian Standards, mining regulations, and contract law (e.g., AS2124, AS4000).Software Proficiency – Experienced with quantity measurement / management tools.Remote / FIFO Experience – Familiarity with remote or FIFO mining operations.Professional Recognition (Desirable) – Membership or chartered status with AIQS, RICS, or equivalent.Asset Management Insight (Desirable) – Understanding of asset lifecycle and structural remediation activitiesWhy you should work for Altrad We provide the benefits you’d expect from a global company, but what makes us different?
