We’re interested in getting to know you and what you bring to the table!Project & Development Services - MENAJLL Project & Development Services (P&DS) MENA provides consulting, design, management and build services to tenant and owners, leveraging technology and digital solutions to drive outstanding service delivery.We bring a life-cycle perspective to our clients, from development solutions to our core services in programme, project and cost management and consulting in digital solutions, tenancy management, sustainability, leisure & entertainment, and workplace & design.RoleThe Quantity Surveyor will provide comprehensive cost management and quantity surveying services for Property & Development Services (PDS) projects in Egypt. This role encompasses pre-contract and post-contract consultancy services, ensuring accurate cost control and commercial management throughout all project phases.What This Job Involves Undertaking cost management / quantity surveying skills and knowledge regarding pre-contract and post-contract consultancy services. Excellent Take-Off skills required, from both an accuracy and speed perspective. Preparation of budget / pre-contract cost estimates and various stages' cost plans as required. Preparation/formulation of Bills of Quantities as per the standard formats. Preparation of pre-tender cost estimates. Preparation of tender evaluation reports. Reviewing and negotiating prices with Contractors. Preparation of contract documents. Reviewing payment valuations. Managing the project's change control of all additional works as required. Participating in the cost reporting process of the project and preparing budgets vs actual cost reconciliation reports. Preparing / reviewing measurement tasks as required using CostX or equivalent soft tools. Pricing and checking additional works / post-contract cost estimates as required and reviewing their validation / quantification process. Preparing cash flow forecasts for the project in all stages. Following up the supply chain management of the project and contributing to as required. Attending commercial meetings as required with all the stakeholders of the project. Preparing Final Accounts and contributing to contractors' negotiations/agreements. Be a self-motivating, strong team player but demonstrate the ability to take a leadership role as part of personal development planning. Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner. Desired Skills And Experience Hardworking, proactive individual with a strong desire to learn and progress with an eye for detail and a passion for high standards. Candidate to be able to demonstrate experience in the Real Estate Sector. Excellent pre and post contract technical cost and commercial management skills. Articulate in written and oral communication. Excellent prioritization and self-management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Key Competencies Strong knowledge and track record in the application of IT based solutions. Software skills required in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office. Software skills in Cost Estimation and Quantity Surveying software like CostX, Plan Swift or Bluebeam or Candy, would be advantageous. Degree in related subject (BSc Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent). Associate / Member RICS or in process would be advantageous. Experience preferably in the Construction, Fit-out and/or Renovation projects. Experience preferably in the Middle East but not essential.
