They are recognised for their commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainable construction, and they foster a collaborative and high-performance working environment.Role PurposeAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and contractual aspects of projects in the industrial and logistics sector. You will help ensure cost efficiency, support the financial delivery of projects, and contribute to risk management and value engineering. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, procurement, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the required quality.Key ResponsibilitiesCost Estimation & PlanningPrepare early-stage cost estimates, cost plans, and budgets for industrial and logistics projects.Conduct feasibility studies and lifecycle cost analysis.Develop and maintain a cost database specific to industrial construction (e.g. rate libraries, unit costs).Tendering & ProcurementPrepare tender documentation, bills of quantities, and contract packages.Advise on procurement strategies, contract types, and subcontractor selection.Evaluate tenders, negotiate rates, and recommend tender awards.Valuation & Cash Flow ManagementCarry out monthly valuations of work in progress, ensure accurate measurement and valuation of works.Monitor cash flow and ensure timely submission of payment applications.Review and approve subcontractor payment claims, variations, and change orders.Cost Control & ReportingTrack cost variances, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and report on cost performance at project and business-unit levels.Produce regular cost reports, forecasts, and risk registers.Engage in value engineering to optimise cost without compromising on quality or functionality.Contract Administration & Risk ManagementReview and negotiate commercial contract terms, conditions, and variations.Advise on contractual and commercial risk, claims, and dispute management.Support in preparing claims, extensions of time, and mitigation strategies.Final Accounts & Close-OutPrepare final accounts and reconcile project costs.Support post-project reviews to capture lessons learned, cost deviations, and savings.Assist in the auditing of subcontractor accounts and the settlement of outstanding commercial issues.Stakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, project teams, and other stakeholders.Participate in commercial meetings, provide advice, and represent the commercial interests of the company.Collaborate with procurement, design, and site teams to ensure financial alignment.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.Proven experience (typically 5+ years) as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably working for a main contractor in the industrial / logistics construction sector.Strong commercial acumen with experience in cost planning, tendering, contract administration, and final accounts.Excellent understanding of construction contracts, Danish construction industry regulations, and procurement processes.Proficiency with industry software (e.g., cost-estimating tools, Excel, BIM-related QS tools).Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.Fluent in English; proficiency in Danish is a plus but not required.Professional qualification (e.g., MRICS or equivalent) is desirable.Competencies & SkillsAnalytical mindset with strong numerical skills.Attention to detail and high organisational ability.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Problem-solving and risk assessment capability.Commercial and contractual negotiation skills.Team player, but confident to work autonomously.Commitment to continuous improvement and best practices in cost management.What We OfferA competitive compensation package in Danish kroner.Opportunities for professional development, including potential for chartership or certification.Exposure to large, complex industrial and logistics construction projects.A collaborative and high-performance work culture, with close interaction across disciplines.Benefits package (healthcare, pension, performance bonus, etc.).
