R&D Packaging Supervisor (Bulacan)

Job Description

Responsibilities Lead the development and/or innovation of packaging materials for both food and non-food products (personal care and home care) Lead the design, testing, and implementation of innovative packaging solutions. Develop packaging strategies aligned with company objectives, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and material assessments to ensure optimal packaging performance and cost-effectiveness. Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging materials, and new packaging technologies. Supervise the conduct of packaging compatibility studies. Manage multiple packaging projects from concept to commercialization. Work with Marketing, Product Development, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless packaging execution. Partner with external suppliers, material vendors, and research institutions to drive innovation. Ensure timely, budget-compliant delivery meeting performance expectations. Conduct packaging performance tests (stability, transportation, shelf-life studies). Ensure compliance with global regulations, sustainability standards, and industry best practices. Work with Quality and Regulatory teams to resolve packaging-related issues. Identify sustainable packaging solutions (recyclable, biodegradable, lightweight materials). Optimize packaging for cost efficiency without compromising quality. Implement practices to reduce waste and improve supply chain efficiency.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields. 3+ years of experience in packaging development, preferably in the FMCG, food and non-food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or consumer goods industry. At least 3 years of experience in management/leadership or people handling roles. Proven track record of managing packaging innovation and development projects. Strong knowledge of packaging materials (plastics, paper, glass, metal, etc.) and manufacturing processes. Experience with packaging testing methodologies and performance evaluation. Understanding sustainability practices and regulatory requirements in packaging. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Leadership and team management experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Good leadership skills.
