Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Receiving Operator at our Marietta Plant.This role is primarily responsible for for safely and efficiently receiving raw materials and products received via rail cars and bulk trucks.This role ensures compliance with company safety standards, proper documentation, and adherence to operational protocols during unloading and material transfer processes.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect and verify incoming rail cars and bulk trucks for correct materials, seal integrity, and general condition prior to unloadingCoordinate with logistics and scheduling teams to ensure timely unloadingConnect hoses, operate pumps, and manage transfer systems in compliance with safety and environmental proceduresCollect and label samples for quality control and lab analysisMonitor unloading operations to prevent overfills, spills, or cross-contaminationComplete and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records in SAP or relevant systemsConduct routine equipment inspections and promptly report any maintenance needs.Communicate any irregularities, delays, or safety concerns promptly to supervisionFollow all site-specific PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and confined space entry proceduresPerform other duties as assigned to support overall plant operations and team goalsWhat you needHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferredPrior experience with chemical receiving operations or industrial material handling is a plusAbility to follow SOPs and read material safety data sheets (SDS)Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and with physical demands (e.g. climbing railcars)Familiarity with SAP or other inventory tracking systems is advantageousPhysical RequirementsAbility to climb ladders and rail cars, walk across uneven surfaces, and stand for extended periodsCapable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 55.1Pounds(25kg)Comfortable working in outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures, rain, or humidityMust be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protections, respirators, hard hats, chemical suits, and etc.Ability to perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, kneeling, or reaching overheadWork EnvironmentWork is performed in an industrial setting with exposure to chemical handling processes and outdoor environmental conditions.Some mandatory overtime and occasional shift adjustments are required to support operational needs.Work may involve confined spaces, elevated areas, and the use of appropriate PPE.What we offerLong-term career opportunity at a key site within Kemira's Pulp & Paper SegmentComprehensive training programs, both formal and on-the-jobAttractive Benefit Package:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceDisability and life insurance401(k) with compnay contributionGenerous paid time off (PTO)Join Kemira and find the right mix of experience, challenge, and opportunity
