Following our merger with Wasoko, we're expanding across Sub-Saharan Africa.We're now looking for R2R Supervisor is part of the General Accounting team and will take care of reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.What You’ll Do :Primary Strategic Lead for R2R accounting activities as it relates to period close accounting processes, account reconciliation and financial analysis. Manage R2R reconciliations to timely completion.Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivableProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingProvide technical support and advice on Management AccountantReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresManage accounting assistants and bookkeepersParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processProvide input into department’s goal setting processPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleAssist in the preparation of the audited financial statements and the statutory audit processSupport month-end and year-end close processDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with IFRS principlesLiaise with R2R Manager and Head of Consolidation and Reporting to improve financial proceduresWhat We’re Looking For :1- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting & finance, including significant experience in financial processes and controls .2- Knowledge of Financial Accounting and reporting, including P&L, B/S, Source and Use of Cash required .3- End user experience with Odoo, advanced Excel .4- Demonstrated success in financial process implementation, transformation or continuous improvement .
