This position will operate under administrative direction and aims to increase the number of qualified applicants enrolling in our degree programs by leading recruiting activities and collaborating closely with the four schools within Watts College. The recruiter may manage student staff who will assist with phone calls, information sessions and student-facing activities.Position Salary RangeDepends on ExperienceEssential DutiesExecutes outreach strategy targeting local and national high schools, colleges, and community organizations by means of email, phone and face-to-face contact.Gives in-person and virtual presentations highlighting the academic and student experience at Watts CollegeMaintains a working knowledge of the Watts College degree programs to confidently connect with prospective studentsAttends and participates in meetings and training sessionsSupervises and trains student staff to provide prospective students with the highest level of customer service through effective and timely phone, email and face-to-face communication.Provides prospective students with the highest level of customer service through effective and timely phone, email and face-to-face communication.Take an influential and consultative approach to conduct individual and group presentations to disseminate program information to potential students. This includes counseling potential students with respect to program format, admission requirements, degree options, and outcomes. Ability to travel for events, networking, community outreach and generating interest in the university if required. Seasonal travel will be more demanding and may include out of state and international travel for protracted periods of time. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.**Days and Schedule:** Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with additional evening and weekend hours as needed. Some travel, both in-state and out-of-state, may be required. This position offers the flexibility of hybrid work, allowing a combination of on-campus and remote working days.Desired QualificationsExposure to higher education recruitment is preferredExperience in applying recruiting/ selling techniques and methods. Evidence of effective verbal and written communication, including grammar and spelling.Results-oriented with the ability to perform multiple tasks. Experience in CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce. Experience effectively delivering presentations and ideas to large and small groupsWorking EnvironmentActivities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse.Required to stand for varying lengths of time, and walk moderate distances to perform work.Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.Communicate to perform essential functions of the job.Use standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.This position receives semi-annual managerial review of objectives.Work extended hours, including evening and/or weekends, as needed.Department StatementThe Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions embraces students and faculty dedicated to rigorous education and research in the service of social and economic change.
