This role will support the regional commercial team in new business pitches, managing commercial requests through consistent commercial practices across APAC markets.Key ResponsibilitiesNew business and commercialsSupport the APAC commercial finance function relating to regional and global client pitches, fee and staffing discussions, client contract reviews, client reporting and other ad hoc commercial requests.Provide ongoing support to APAC business and market finance teams for regional and global clients, including but not limited to contract queries, fee negotiations, coordinate requests from global and region on finance operation and client reporting matters.Work closely with various stakeholders including market finance, business teams, global teams, legal and tax teams where applicable/ necessary to provide complete, accurate and timely deliverables.Perform analysis on client profitability and revenue reporting as required. Support business leads to ensure business structure and processes deliver optimal operating efficiencies. Develop, implement and monitor measures where necessary.Support regional markets on client contract compliance/ financial audits where necessary.Support global and regional commercial workstreams/ initiatives.Ad hoc requests from global teams, clients and other business stakeholders. Consolidate and review local market submissions to ensure compliance and consistency across markets.Communication and TeamworkWork closely as a team to ensure that requests and issues are addressed timely.Establish strong communication channels with global, regional and local stakeholders to ensure that business issues are efficiently and effectively communicated and feedback obtained on a timely basis.QualificationsA minimum 4 - 5 years of work experience in commercial finance or similar background. Regional exposure is desirable.Prior experience in a media and advertising industry would also be an advantage.Candidates with a background in finance business partnering, FP&A and audit are also welcome to apply.Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Word and PowerPointPersonal TraitsThe ideal candidate should possess the following personal characteristics:Works well within a team and has good communication skills to work effectively among diverse teams, and dealing with colleagues where English is not their first language.Independent and proactive, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the persistence to deliver against tight deadlines.Possesses an analytical mindset and business acumen, with genuine interest in the media industry and continuous learning.Persistent and diligent in following through tasks on hand.An individual who can bring freshness in approach, who is able to think laterally and provide innovative solutions.A proactive individual with abundant energy and drive, and a strong desire to succeed, who will commit to the company’s value system.Willing to adapt changes and take up new responsibilities.
