Regional Director of Home HealthcareLocation: Mississauga/Halton/ Hamilton/GTAReports To: Vice President, Operations / Executive LeadershipEmployment Type: Full-TimeOverviewThe Regional Director of Home Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the operational, clinical, and administrative performance of multiple home healthcare sites within the assigned region. This leader ensures high-quality client care, regulatory compliance, strong team performance, and operational excellence. A nursing background or extensive prior healthcare leadership experience is required.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Regional OversightProvide leadership to Clinical Managers, Team Leads, and frontline staff across all assigned home healthcare locationsEnsure consistent adherence to organizational care standards, best practices, and performance expectationsLead regional meetings, performance reviews, and workforce planning initiativesSupport recruitment, onboarding, and development of clinical and non-clinical staffClinical Excellence & Quality ManagementEnsure all services comply with provincial healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and infection prevention best practicesOversee quality assurance activities, clinical audits, and continuous improvement initiativesMonitor client outcomes, satisfaction scores, and incident reports, implementing corrective action as neededOperational ManagementManage regional budgets, staffing models, and resource allocationOversee scheduling efficiency, caseload management, and operational workflowsDrive performance improvements to maximize service delivery, productivity, and client satisfactionClient & Stakeholder EngagementBuild strong relationships with clients, families, community partners, and referral sourcesAddress escalated client concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-driven approachRepresent the organization in regional meetings, healthcare partnerships, and outreach initiativesStrategic Planning & GrowthSupport expansion of home healthcare services within the regionAnalyze market trends to identify opportunities for new programs, partnerships, and service enhancementsCollaborate with executive leadership on long-term planning and organizational developmentQualificationsRequired:Registered Nurse (RN) or other healthcare field as well as extensive healthcare leadership experienceMinimum 5–7 years of progressive leadership in home healthcare, community care, long-term care, or related healthcare environmentKnowledge of provincial healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and clinical best practicesStrong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple sitesExcellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsPreferred:Experience managing regional or multi-site operationsBackground in budgeting, financial planning, and operational performancePost-secondary education in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Management, or equivalentCore CompetenciesClinical and operational leadershipExceptional communication and relationship-buildingStrategic planning and executionConflict resolution and problem-solvingAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environmentHigh level of professionalism, accountability, and integrity
