The ideal candidate will have a history of leading a team to over performance in quota attainment and developing customer accounts. We are looking for a talented individual who has experience of building and making markets in the region, both direct and through partners and channels.This role is based at Smartsheet in Munich, Germany (hybrid, remote also eligible) and you will report to our Regional Vice President, EMEA Sales, in this high profile role.You WillLead the DACH Sales team to exceed quarterly and annual sales quotasServe as player/coach in the execution of a complex, solution­-based sales process encompassing multiple groups within DACH region accountsPlay leadership role in developing new business opportunities by coaching account executives to build and execute account strategiesDrive Smartsheet senior executive engagement in target accountsSuccessfully execute across all disciplines of sales management, including Account/Opportunity/Relationship planning and sales methodology executionPartner with Sales Engineering, Consulting, Customer Success, Partner team and Marketing management to identify and close software and professional services solutions in Global 2000 accountsProactively identify and address issues that will increase growth velocity in the EMEA sales regionEffectively predict and deliver sales results through accurate sales forecastingActively use company’s core applications to manage business, including SmartsheetSalesforce.com, Tableau, LinkedIn, DiscoverOrg and others Perform other duties as assignedYou HaveDemonstrated track record in leading Strategic SaaS sales teams to exceed quotas by winning new business and driving substantial growth in Global 2000 accountsFluency in English and German is requiredExtensive experience of building sustainable and effective relationships with partners and selling through channelProven ability to drive Strategic sales teams in executing land­-and-­expand sales strategies to predictably drive aggressive growth in Global 2000 accountsMinimum of 5 years experience in sales management of enterprise software, preferably Enterprise SaaS teams10+ years of experience in the software industry with current SaaS experience preferably on the business applications side (selling to sales, marketing, HR, finance, manufacturing)Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask, work cross-­functionally within the organisation, and thrive in a collaborative environmentExcellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and presentation skillsMotivate and lead; embody Smartsheet’s core values; operate with grit and a sense of urgencyDemonstrated ability to execute sales methodologies (e.g. The Challenger Sale)Experience working in a fast-­paced, high growth software company where change is a constantSmartsheet, Salesforce.com, Google Apps, Tableau skillsBachelors (BA/BS) degree required, MBA preferredLegally eligible to work in Germany on an ongoing basisGet To Know UsAt Smartsheet, your ideas are heard, your potential is supported, and your contributions have real impact.
