Job Description

The Regional FP&A Lead – APAC is responsible for driving financial planning, performance management, and strategic analysis across the APAC region. This role partners closely with country finance leads, regional business heads, global FP&A, and commercial teams to ensure high-quality insights, robust forecasting, and data-driven decision making that supports UPL’s growth and profitability in the region.Job Responsibilities:Lead the annual operating plan (AOP), long-range plan (LRP), and periodic forecast cycles for the APAC region.Drive alignment between country submissions, regional priorities, and global expectations.Ensure all planning processes follow UPL global FP&A timelines, templates, and standards.Consolidate and analyze APAC monthly and quarterly financial results (P&L, Working Capital, Cash Flow).Prepare performance dashboards, KPIs, and variance analysis for the Regional CFO and APAC leadership.Provide actionable insights to improve revenue quality, margins, and cost efficiency.Collaborate with regional commercial, supply chain, marketing, and NPP teams to support business decisions.Partner with country finance managers to improve forecasting quality, financial discipline, and adherence to UPL policies.Support pricing strategy, product portfolio analysis, and country-level margin improvement initiatives.Conduct financial modelling, scenario planning, and profitability analysis for new launches, channel programs, NPP growth plans, and APAC strategic initiatives.Support the APAC leadership team with ad-hoc analysis, market insights, and investment evaluation.Drive insights for crops, countries, product segments, and customer profitability.Improve regional FP&A processes, standardization, and automation (Power BI, SAP, Anaplan, Tableau or UPL internal tools).Strengthen governance, controls, and data accuracy across the APAC finance network.Champion best practices in forecasting, reporting, and financial analytics.Work with Global FP&A and Corporate Finance teams to support consolidated reporting and strategic reviews.Ensure alignment between APAC supply chain, procurement, and finance on SLOBs, inventory planning, and working capital reduction.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.7–12 years of relevant experience in FP&A, business finance, or regional finance roles.Experience in agriculture, chemicals, FMCG, manufacturing, or related industries preferred.Prior regional APAC experience is a strong advantage.Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.Expertise in FP&A, business finance, and performance management.Ability to navigate complexity in a multi-country, multi-crop, and multi-product environment.Strong communication and stakeholder management.Proficiency in SAP, Power BI, Excel, and financial planning systemsAbility to translate data into insights and influence senior leadership.
