1. Job PurposeThe Regional Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all commercial and operational activities within the assigned region to ensure the growth, stability, and profitability of the Savanna Fibre business. The role drives aggressive customer acquisition, ensures excellent service delivery, supports network expansion, and guarantees high standards of operational performance.The Regional Manager provides direct regional leadership while coordinating closely with Fiber Network Design & Planning, Network Construction, Sales, and Service Delivery (Fiber Installation) to ensure smooth, efficient, and well-aligned execution of activities. Functional management of these departments remains under their respective Heads of Departments (HODs), while the Regional Manager ensures alignment, operational visibility, and timely execution at the regional level.2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Commercial Growth & Revenue LeadershipDrive aggressive customer acquisition for Home, SME, and Corporate markets.Implement and monitor regional sales strategies to exceed revenue and customer targets.Build strong market presence through regional promotions, activations, and partnership engagements.Analyze market trends and competition to support proactive commercial decisions.B. Regional Coordination Across Technical & Commercial FunctionsWork closely with Fiber Network Design & Planning teams to support surveys, feasibility studies, design of new areas, and infill plans.Coordinate with Network Construction teams to ensure timely fibre rollout, construction quality, and resolution of field constraints.Align with Sales teams to match network readiness, ensure efficient sales coverage, and support high take-up in new zones.Collaborate with Service Delivery teams (Fiber Installation) to ensure timely and high-quality installations and customer onboarding.Ensure all cross-functional activities are synchronized to deliver excellent customer experience and operational efficiency at the regional level.(While coordination is handled by the Regional Manager, overall function management remains with the respective HODs.)C. Operational ExcellenceOversee all regional operations including installation, maintenance coordination, customer service support, logistics, and field operations.Achieve and sustain network uptime through effective coordination with NOC and maintenance teams.Ensure compliance with company processes, quality standards, and technical SOPs.Monitor key KPIs such as installation TAT, MTTR, SLA adherence, and repeat faults.Support and monitor HUB upgrades and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Oversee long-haul fibre link maintenance, ensuring proactive maintenance and fast restoration.D. Market Expansion & Territory PenetrationDrive territorial growth by identifying high-potential areas for expansion.Support survey, design, and construction of new coverage areas and infill zones.Work with planning and construction teams to accelerate rollout timelines.Ensure new areas achieve expected utilization and commercial targets.E. Customer Experience ManagementEnsure customer installations meet company standards and timelines.Improve regional customer satisfaction by reducing installation delays, repeat faults, and unresolved complaints.Coordinate with technical teams to stabilize performance in problematic zones.F. Permits, Licensing & Regulatory ComplianceHandle all permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals required for network construction, civil works, pole access, wayleaves, and fibre deployment.Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.Ensure all activities comply with national and regional regulatory guidelines.Keep accurate records of approvals, renewals, and compliance documentation.G. Team Leadership & People ManagementLead, supervise, and motivate all regional teams including Sales, Support, Field Officers, and Administration.Set aggressive KPIs, monitor performance, and ensure accountability.Provide coaching and ensure continuous skills development in line with business goals.Foster a performance-driven culture built on speed, execution, and discipline.H. Financial Oversight & Resource ManagementManage regional budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal resource allocation.Oversee proper use of company assets including tools, materials, fleet, and fibre stock in the region.Monitor wastage and ensure strong material reconciliation and control.3. Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Telecommunications, Marketing, or related field.Minimum 7 years experience in telecommunications, ISP, FMCG, or other high-growth operational environments.Experience in fibre network planning, construction, installations, and sales coordination is a strong advantage.Proven track record in aggressive commercial leadership and regional operations management.4.
