PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF JOB/ JOB SUMMARY: The Zone Supervisor is directly responsible for achieving or exceeding set sales targets while maintaining a sound relationship with all customers on their route. Managing accuracy of delivery to customers to ensure freshness and zero out-of-stock while reducing returns and unsold items is a key component of the scope of their responsibility.  This is accomplished through a team of, Route Sales Leaders and their Route Sales Assistants and Merchandizers. Routing of vehicles is also a part of their responsibility to improve efficiency's: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSales Meets and/or exceeds sales targets. Calculates accurate quantities of products to pack shelves to ensure availability of products. Starts and ends workdays with Salespersons. Reports Daily on Missed stops, returns, and unsold goods. Ensures adequate frequency of delivery of fresh products.Monitors and manages unsold products.Monitors and manages stale dated quantities.Identify opportunities to grow sales and meet sales targets.Increases customer base/new customers.Ensures proper merchandising of products in stores.Participates in all Marketing ventures.Responds to the sales team on all crisis and resolve issues on the spot Customer Relations Maintains good customer relationships with store managers and all levels within the supermarket.Must develop and maintain a detailed list of ALL customers in delegated regions.Provides customer visitation log Weekly.Monitors scheduled delivery of products to ensure customer satisfaction Competitive Intelligence Provide feedback on product quality.Provide feedback on competitive products in the market.Provide feedback on the competition with recommendations.Provides support to the Marketing department in ALL Marketing programs.Provides support in the research and data collection managed by the Marketing department Logistics Review the delivery route stop report.Must be able to train and operate the handheld computer for delivery.Motivates team members.Implements rerouting to improve efficiency and improve customer service.Manages rotation of salespersonsCompletes timely weekly/monthly reports Administrative Must be aware of Collection status to avoid customers’ accounts being restricted and to ensure customer relations.Manage collections.Able to fill in for Route Sales Supervisor completing all duties.Attends MeetingsAny other related tasks QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS·        Over 4 years of sales experience at a senior level in a similar capacity·        Associate Degree or higher in a related field·        Business Management training·        Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS·        High level of honesty and integrity·        Self-motivated·        Ability to work independently·        Good logistics skills·        Strong customer service oriented·        Ability to operate a hand-held computer·        Mature and responsible·        Ability to communicate effectively WORKING CONDITIONS·        May include lifting of heavy products, possibly up to 30lbs in weight·        Travelling long distances·        Exposure to variable weather and traffic conditions. Long hours, including evenings and weekends may be required to meet deadlines. GENERAL ADVANCEMENTThis position may advance to Sales Manager
