The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance companies, corporates, and government entities.The role requires a strong understanding of investment products, institutional sales processes, and the ability to craft customized financial solutions that align with clients’ long-term objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Acquisition & Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients such as pension fund administrators (PFAs), insurance firms, corporates, endowments, and government agencies.Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients’ investment policies, risk appetite, and liquidity needs.Manage the end-to-end sales cycle — from prospecting and onboarding to ongoing relationship management.Conduct periodic portfolio and performance reviews with clients, providing timely market insights and investment recommendations.Business Development & Revenue GrowthDrive asset growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share within the institutional segment.Collaborate with internal teams (product development, investment management, and research) to design tailored investment solutions.Participate in investment roadshows, industry forums, and client events to promote Coronation AM’s capabilities.Investment Advisory & Product KnowledgeDemonstrate deep knowledge of mutual funds, fixed income, equities, structured products, and alternative investments.Analyze market trends and provide data-driven insights to support institutional clients’ investment decisions.Ensure clients’ portfolios remain aligned with regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.Compliance & ReportingEnsure strict adherence to SEC, NGX, and CIS regulations, as well as internal compliance policies.Maintain accurate and updated records of client interactions, mandates, and transactions.Provide periodic performance and pipeline reports to management, highlighting client activity, sales progress, and opportunities.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (CFA, CIS, ACIB) will be an added advantage.5–10 years of relevant experience in institutional sales, investment management, or corporate finance, preferably within a leading financial institution.Demonstrated success in client relationship management and investment product distribution.Solid understanding of capital markets, portfolio management, and investment instruments.Skills & CompetenciesStrong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.Analytical mindset with a deep understanding of investment solutions.High ethical standards and client-centric approach.Proven ability to achieve sales targets and grow institutional mandates.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and financial analysis tools.
