Job DescriptionWho we’re looking forAs a Research Analyst at Schroders, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, in-depth, and insightful research on companies that support our investment decision-making process. You will conduct extremely rigorous financial analysis and be very valuation focused in all aspects of your work. Working within a collaborative and high-performing team environment, you will contribute ideas and challenge consensus to drive robust investment outcomes for our clients.About SchrodersWe’re a global investment manager. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.What You’ll DoContribute to the delivery of investment returns through robust research and rigorous financial analysis that supports the broader portfolio management process.Support the achievement of performance objectives for portfolios within the teamUndertake research and analysis that can lead to new investment ideas and review existing holdings, with the potential to influence existing products, services, methodologies, and the overall investment approach.Demonstrate a very valuation conscious mindset and a high level of accuracy and diligence in preparing investment recommendations.Ensure all research activities comply with Schroders’ internal policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in risk management and ESG integration.The Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications You NeedA strong team player, eager to contribute ideas and collaborate on both investment and non-investment matters within the immediate team and across the wider investment function.Demonstrated interest and understanding of investment philosophies, especially those that emphasise valuation and fundamentals.Highly skilled in fundamental analysis, with confidence in assessing and interpreting financial statements to support investment decisions.Possesses a growth mindset, showing a strong desire to learn and actively contributing to the ongoing development of fellow team members.Demonstrable experience of rigorous financial analysis, including strong accounting skills, valuation techniques, and risk analysis.Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious, with excellent problem-solving skills.Proficiency with key financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and the ability to synthesise complex data.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present research insights in a clear and open minded manner.A proactive individual who thrives in a performance-driven environment and demonstrates integrity and rigour in all research conducted.ApplicationWe’d Love To Get To Know You Better.
