In addition to expanding and increasing the number of our corporate locations, we have become a viable branding and fuel supply alternative for independent fuel site owner/dealers.We are seeking a highly motivated Retail Operations Specialist to join our Retail Team and support Centex gas station and convenience-store locations across Ontario. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong leadership abilities, a solid understanding of retail operations, and a passion for improving store performance, guest experience, and brand standards.You will work closely with station operators/dealers to ensure operational excellence, compliance, merchandising execution, and consistent delivery of the Centex guest experience across all assigned sites.Key Responsibilities:Lead, coach, and influence store operators and dealers to meet brand, operating, and merchandising standardsDevelop individualized operational strategies to support store performance, guest experience, and inventory managementConduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly store visits, including full store evaluations and actionable follow-up plansMonitor operational execution and provide feedback, guidance, and training to store managers and operatorsSupport dealers in executing company-wide programs, promotions, and marketing initiativesIdentify operational gaps, diagnose issues, and create improvement plans in partnership with operatorsDocument non-compliance issues, discussions, and follow-up actions thoroughly and accuratelyEscalate major non-compliance or safety issues to senior management when requiredEnsure all locations adhere to regulatory health, safety, and food-safety requirementsRecruit and train gas station managers for new stores; support new site openings in collaboration with the Project Management teamBuild and maintain positive, productive relationships with dealers, providing timely coaching and ongoing operational supportAssist operators with local store marketing, merchandising layout, and guest service improvementsSupport continuous improvement efforts to boost sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiencyExperienceMinimum 5 years of petroleum retail or comparable multi-unit retail experienceStrong background in customer service and quality standardsProven track record in sales growth within a retail or foodservice environmentUnderstanding of P&L statements, budgeting, and controllable costsExperience working with multiple stakeholders, departments, and teamsFamiliarity with dealer agreements and operational compliance requirementsProficiency in MS Word and ExcelQualifications and SkillsStrong leadership, coaching, and influencing abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational, planning, and analytical skillsAbility to troubleshoot operational issues and implement effective solutionsAbility to clearly explain processes, expectations, and corrective actionsHigh attention to detail with strong follow-throughAbility to work independently in a field-based environmentRequirementsValid Driver’s License with a clean driving recordAbility to travel 80% (daily and overnight travel across Ontario is required)Comfortable working in a fast-paced and collaborative company environmentMust hold a valid open work permit, Permanent Residency, or Canadian CitizenshipFlexibility to work weekends, based on operational needsCompensation and BenefitsSalary: $70,000–$80,000 annuallyBonus eligibilityHealth, dental and vision care benefitsMileage reimbursement or vehicle as per company policyOpportunities for growth, training, and developmentSupportive team environmentScheduleMonday to Friday with weekend travel or store support as requiredField-based with significant travel across OntarioWork LocationIn Person / Field-Based: Site visits across Ontario with remote work when not traveling.If you are a dedicated retail operations professional looking to support multiple stores, drive performance, and build strong dealer relationships across Ontario, we’d love to hear from you.Only qualified candidates will be contacted.We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace
