Public Sector People are seeking a Revenue Officer to join a council on Sydney's North Shore and play a key role in the delivery of high-quality revenue and debt management services to their community.As a Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-level support and guidance to customers in relation to rates and sundry debtor enquiries, managing debt recovery processes, and maintaining accurate financial and customer records.Contract roleASAP Start - interviews w/c Monday 20th OctoberKey ResponsibilitiesDeliver exceptional customer service by responding to rates and debtor enquiries and providing accurate advice in line with Council policy and legislation.Maintain accurate ownership and property information to support timely and correct rating transactions.Process and manage Council’s Rates and Charges, sundry debtor data, and ensure the integrity of related financial records.Negotiate and maintain effective payment arrangements in line with Council’s Debt Recovery and Financial Hardship Policy.Manage pensioner rebates and compliance checks under the Pensioner Rates Policy.What We’re Looking ForProven experience in Rates, Revenue or Accounts Receivable role.Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in a financial operations environment.Proven experience in a high-volume transactional setting with excellent attention to detail.Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and council policy related to revenue functions.Experience in debt recovery and handling financial customer service enquiries.Desirable:Experience using TechnologyOne software.If you are interested, please apply now with your most up to date resume.
