About the jobWe invite motivated and dynamic individuals to join our growing Quality & Risk Management Team as an intern.Our Quality & Risk Management Department provides timely and relevant information on developments in legislation and regulations, and supports various initiatives to help the Firm manage risks in a complex environment. As an intern, you will work closely with our risk management and compliance team to support these activities.The AML Monitoring & Compliance function, part of the Quality & Risk Management Department, assists the Firm in the customer due diligence process. This includes supporting the review of KYC screening results, helping to identify potential risks before accepting or continuing business relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and Firm requirement. What you will do:Assist in screening companies, directors, shareholders, and beneficial owners against adverse news, sanctions lists, litigation/bankruptcy records, and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) using KPMG’s internal tools and publicly available sources.Support the team in validating the completeness and accuracy of KYC screenings and help document assessment results in accordance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and procedures.Help handle internal queries related to regulatory requirements and AML/CFT compliance policies and procedures.Assist in developing and maintaining content for in-house AML/CFT training materials.Support the team in implementing and maintaining AML/CFT policies, procedures, systems, and controls.Work with internal stakeholders by helping maintain service standards, supporting issue resolution, and promoting awareness of risk management policies and proceduresDesired skills & experience: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business, Law, or a related field.Strong interest in compliance, regulatory matters, and AML/CFT.Basic understanding of KYC and AML concepts is an advantage, but not required.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good verbal and written communication abilities.Able to exercise good judgment, ask questions, and escalate issues when needed.Familiarity with research tools such as LexisNexis, World-Check, Factiva, or corporate registries is a plus.A team player who is self-motivated, resourceful, and detail-oriented.
