Company Description The Zimbabwe Mercantile Exchange Private Limited (ZMX) operates an Electronic Warehouse Receipt System and a Commodities Trading Platform that ensures safe, secure, and convenient trading and financing of commodities. This platform is designed to enhance efficiency and transparency in the commodity markets. ZMX provides a vital service in stabilizing market prices and ensuring a predictable trading environment, which is crucial for market participants and stakeholders. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Risk Officer based in Harare, Zimbabwe. The Risk Officer will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks to the organization. Daily tasks include conducting risk assessments, developing risk management strategies, and implementing risk mitigation plans. The Risk Officer will also work closely with other departments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and to protect the organization's assets. Qualifications Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skillsExperience in risk assessment and risk management processesKnowledge of regulatory compliance and standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with various departmentsProficient in using risk management software and toolsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plusExperience in the commodities market or financial sector is advantageous
