Ruby on Rails Developer

Smile Ukraine is looking for a talented Ruby on Rails developer who will be responsible for developing and enhancing functionality of our projects.Type of employment: Full time, RemoteEnglish level: SpokenResponsibilities:Customize and maintain our Redmine instance (plugins, workflows, UI/UX adjustments)Integrate and extend Metabase dashboards to support evolving business needsBuild and maintain APIs or scripts for data syncing between Redmine, Metabase, and other internal systemsPerform upgrades, troubleshoot issues, and ensure overall platform stabilityCollaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and propose technical solutionsRequired skills:Solid experience with Ruby on RailsHands-on experience with Redmine (or deep familiarity with similar Rails-based platforms)Familiarity with Metabase setup, dashboard building, and SQL-based data explorationProficient in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)Good understanding of web application security, version control (Git), and RESTful API designGood knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+)Experience with Sidekiq and RedisEnglish level B2 or higher — confident communication with clients and team members in EnglishNice to Have:Experience developing Redmine pluginsFamiliarity with containerized environments (Docker)Basic understanding of analytics/reporting needs in a business contextExperience with GraphQLWe'll provide you:Dynamic and friendly teamInteresting projects that will help you to improve and develop your skillsFree English classes
