Safety Steward

Location: North Region, CameroonSector: Electrical / Hydroelectrical EngineeringLanguages: Bilingual - French and EnglishWe are recruiting, on behalf of one of our clients, a leading company in electrical and hydroelectrical engineering, an experienced Safety Steward responsible for ensuring compliance and safety on site within the framework of a major project. Main ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will be responsible for: Ensuring the safety of daily site operations: monitoring high-risk areas, inspecting equipment, and preventing accidents. Training and raising awareness among staff on HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) best practices in compliance with QHSE and international standards.

Conducting regular safety inspections and audits, preparing detailed reports, and recommending improvements. Participating in the development, implementation, and updating of emergency procedures and safety plans. Monitoring HSE performance indicators (accidents, incidents, corrective actions) and proposing preventive and corrective measures. Collaborating closely with engineering, maintenance, and project management teams to ensure compliance with national and international regulations. Profile RequiredExperience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role, preferably within the electrical, hydroelectrical, industrial, or construction sectors. Education:

Min Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), Quality Health Safety and Environment (QHSE), or an equivalent engineering degree with a specialization in safety. Age: 25 to 35 years. Languages: French and English (spoken and written). Key Skills: Strong observation skills, rigor, autonomy, pedagogical abilities, excellent communication, and team spirit. Gross monthly salary: Between 350,000 and 500,000 XAF, depending on profile and experience.
