Job Description

The Sales Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all sales activities, processes, documentation, and customer interactions comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and ethical business practices. This role safeguards the organization from compliance risks, monitors adherence to sales protocols, and provides guidance and training to the sales team. The Sales Compliance Officer works closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Management to mitigate risks, enhance operational integrity, and maintain a culture of transparency and compliance across the sales function.Key Responsibilities:1. Compliance Monitoring & EnforcementReview and monitor sales transactions, contracts, and customer interactions to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Identify non‑compliant activities, report risks, and recommend corrective actions.Conduct periodic audits of sales activities, documentation, pricing, and approvals.2. Policy Development & ImplementationAssist in creating, updating, and enforcing sales compliance policies, procedures, and SOPs.Ensure that employees clearly understand compliance guidelines and responsibilities.Support the implementation of new compliance frameworks, tools, and processes in the sales department.3. Training & AwarenessDeliver regular compliance training sessions to sales teams regarding ethical selling, documentation standards, and regulatory obligations.Provide guidance and clarification on compliance-related questions and challenges.Promote a strong culture of integrity and ethical behavior in all sales practices.4. Risk Identification & MitigationAnalyze sales processes to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement preventive and corrective measures.Ensure that risk management strategies align with legal and organizational standards.5. Reporting & DocumentationPrepare detailed compliance reports for management summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations.Maintain documentation and evidence of compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.Track compliance issues and follow up on action plans to ensure timely resolution.6. Cross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Internal Audit to resolve compliance issues and ensure alignment with company goals.Participate in new product or service rollouts to ensure compliance consistency.Support investigations related to complaints or suspected misconduct within sales operations.Qualifications:Must have automotive compliance experience.Process and detail oriented.
