Position DescriptionBase pay is influenced by several factors including a candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and anticipated contributions to meet the needs of the business, along with internal pay equity and external market-driven rates. The salary range displayed has not been adjusted for geographical location. This position will have a focus on supporting data analytics and reporting across all lines of business, with a secondary focus on streamlining the use of the customer relationship management tool. The individual in this position will build an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of other members of the department in order to support these efforts if called upon. This individual will also need to partner cross-functionally with other departments including Human Resources, Operations, Analytics & Reporting, IT&D and Finance.Responsibilities And QualificationsParticipate in monthly data analytics (medical, dental, vision, and stop loss) activities. Includes: the periodic evaluation of enrollment data to identify trends, support the development of monthly and ad hoc reporting, support review and maintenance of data, and support preparation of monthly reports. This activity may also include work that supports forecast development.Support the identification and training of best practices related to the use by the Sales team of the CRM tool. Provide support for the development and upkeep of training materials and participate in training sessions when necessary.Participate in annual Sales Plan development activities. Support the development of pre-work including synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into a snapshot of current market dynamics, track existing sales plan initiatives to support reporting, and support the development of annual plan documentation.General Stop Loss administration and support. Will act as a liaison between the Sales Effectiveness department and Avalon.Support other members of the department in their duties and responsibilities on an as needed basis.Act as a cross-functional liaison between sales and other areas of the company.May be asked to represent sales for various corporate initiatives.Other duties and responsibilities as needed.SkillsProficient with business software applications including strong spreadsheet skills (Excel is preferred)KnowledgeA general knowledge of the health insurance marketplaceExperience1 year experience in insurance, business analysis, sales administration or a related field.Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management tools is a plus.Experience with existing Capital Blue Cross operational systems is a plus.Education And CertificationsBachelor's degree in business, Marketing or a related field.
