Description:At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This role monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, andcreates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. This position sits within Regions' Technology department.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssists with the development and installation of new hardware and softwareInstalls and configures systems and other softwareTests installed software for malfunction detectionIdentifies and resolves business systems issuesAssists with the design and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systemsMeasures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systemsMonitors and tests system performancePerforms routine systems dutiesPerforms daily actions focused on administering defined processesMay have work thoroughly reviewed by more senior associatesThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related fieldSkills And CompetenciesAbility to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve a common objectiveAbility to conduct system analysis to detect issues with performanceAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization and software debuggingStrong communication, analytical and problem-solving skillsMinimum of 1 year of hands-on Salesforce development experience.Proficiency in Apex programming and working knowledge of Salesforce declarative tools.Hands-on experience using Salesforce OmniStudio.Apex DevelopmentExperience in Apex Classes, Triggers, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, and Schedulers, including:BulkificationException handlingReusable code patternsHigh test coverage with unit testsProficient in SOQL/SOSL, asynchronous processing, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs).Experience with CI/CD practices, including version control and automated deployments.OmniStudio (Vlocity) Expertise1 years of experience with Salesforce OmniStudio.Proficient in designing and configuring:FlexCards for dynamic, reusable UI components that display contextual data.OmniScripts for guided, step-by-step user workflows and business processes.DataRaptors for data extraction, transformation, and loading.Integration Procedures for server-side logic and external API calls.This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. The locations available for this role are Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position at this time.
