Scheduler

BCEI Japan is looking for an experienced Scheduler to join our Japan team. This role plays a pivotal part in providing schedule management and support, on live construction projects while also using pre-construction design information and documents to develop tender schedules for upcoming projects. Key Responsibilities:Manage the schedule using either Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.Provide detailed support and assistance to the construction team, including interacting with contractors to determine actual progress and proposed construction plans and methodology.Prepare delay analysis reports internally and to external clients when required.Propose schedule recovery strategies and delay mitigation measures.Produce schedules, reports, extracts, filtered schedules, short term schedules.Communicate with vendors to determine up to lead in periods and delivery dates.Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate.Requirements:Minimum experience of 7 years and above in scheduling/planning experience, possibly with exposure to mission-critical facilities such as data centres.Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in planning and executing large-scale construction projects.Strong understanding of construction methodology, engineering principles, and project lifecyclesExperience of working with General Contractors in a project management, or scheduler/planner capacityAdvanced training in Primavera P6 or Microsoft ProjectExcellent communication skills in both Japanese and English (written and verbal) – essential for liaising with internal teams, global counterparts, and local contractorsExperience in delay analysis and mitigation planningAble to work independently and as part of a high-performing, collaborative teamStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities
