S/He also acts as a mentor for teachers and other school staff, and works with outside agencies to provide support to families.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support to students in the form of individual counseling, group counseling, conflict mediation, crisis intervention, academic advising, and/or classroom guidance lessonsMaintain student records, such as referral date, documentation of student support services, and interventionsGuide the development and implementation of initial and ongoing referral, coordination, and follow-up of a variety of additional services for students (e.g., mental health services, after school programming, mentoring, etc.)Manage behavior intervention systems and analyzes student behavioral progress including check in check out forms with individual studentsIn collaboration with the Student Management Department and concerned administration team, manage student attendance data and identify students and families with low presenceDesign an effective school-wide process to increase student attendance which includes targeted interventions and filling for truancy (if needed)Identify, implement, and oversee community programs that will serve our students’ and families’ socio-emotional needsSchedule school visits with families on an as-needed basis to address attendance and/or other socio-emotional concernsOffer regular workshops for families and staff regarding relevant socio-emotional and/or community-based issuesPerform such other related tasks as assigned by the school managementIdeal RequirementsBachelor’s degree in psychology, social work degree is a plusEnglish & Arabic ProficientA minimum of 3 years of experience in the fieldExperience in counseling and advisingProfessional Behavior and Ethical ConductContinuous Learning and ImprovementAccountability and Taking OwnershipEmployment RequirementsMust meet all employment requirements including, but not limited to, country and local education and certification requirements, reference checks, and criminal background checks.Additional details about this position will only be provided to short-listed candidates.SABIS® is an equal opportunity employer.
