Security Engineer (Data Center)

Location: Riyadh, Saudi ArabiaAbout the RoleWe are hiring a Security Engineer to support physical security operations within a large-scale data center environment in Riyadh. This position is offered under a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) engagement, where the successful candidate will support data center security operations for a global technology client.The role focuses on monitoring security infrastructure, responding to incidents, and ensuring strict access control compliance within critical data center facilities.You will work closely with Security Operations Centers (SOC), facilities teams, and operations teams to maintain the safety and integrity of mission-critical infrastructure.Key Responsibilities• Conduct routine security patrols across data halls, office areas, and secured environments• Monitor and validate security systems such as CCTV, badge access, sensors, and door systems• Identify and report security incidents, safety risks, or system anomalies• Escort vendors and contractors working within restricted areas• Support installation and maintenance of security systems and devices• Maintain accurate daily reports and incident documentation• Participate in operational briefings and security coordination meetings• Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and confidentiality policiesRequirements• Experience in physical security, security operations, or data center environments• Familiarity with CCTV systems, access control platforms, and incident response processes• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational procedures• Basic proficiency in Excel and reporting tools• Ability to work in a 24×7 shift-based environment• Strong communication and reporting skillsPreferred• Experience working in data centers, colocation facilities, or critical infrastructure sites• Experience using incident management platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.)• Security certifications such as OSHA, CPP, APP, or equivalent
