This role leads the implementation and continuous improvement of APMM’s Global Security Framework, ensuring compliance with international and local regulations, including the ISPS Code.You’ll be responsible for identifying and managing security risks, coordinating incident responses, and fostering a strong security culture across the terminal. You’ll also work closely with internal stakeholders, government authorities, and external networks to ensure our security standards are upheld and continuously improved.Lead and manage all aspects of terminal security operations, including regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and incident response.Serve as the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), ensuring ISPS Code compliance and maintaining the Port Facility Security Plan.Monitor local security contexts to proactively identify threats and vulnerabilities, using data-driven tools and platforms.Oversee technical security systems such as CCTV, access control, and emergency protocols, ensuring optimal performance and integration.Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, preparing detailed reports and supporting disciplinary or legal actions.Manage relationships with security vendors and contribute to procurement processes, ensuring quality service delivery.Support travel and duty-of-care security standards for employees and contractors, especially in high-risk locations.Build a strong security culture through onboarding, training, and regular communication of local security advisories.Control security budgets, assess CAPEX needs, and manage OPEX to ensure cost-effective operations.Lead and develop the terminal security team, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement.What we’re looking forLean-minded: we are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.We’re seeking a confident communicator and collaborative leader who thrives in cross-functional environments. You’ll need to be safety-conscious, data-driven, and capable of maintaining high operational standards in complex settings.Qualifications & ExperienceSignificant years of experience in a Security Manager role (ideally within ports, logistics, mining, or aviation sectors).Professional certification in Security/Risk Management (e.g., CSMP, CPP, ISO 31000).ISPS PFSO certificationStrong investigative skills and experience in incident reporting and case management.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).Hands-on experience with CCTV, vehicle tracking, and physical protection systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Valid driver’s license.Application Deadline: 4th November 2025Maersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
