To train all colleagues and officers on all aspects of security and safety with full responsibility of Emergency Response Plans.ResponsibilitiesTo look after the safety and well-being of all guests and colleagues making sure they cause no harm to themselves and others due to unsafe conditions or unsafe acts. To train all colleagues and officers on all aspects of security and safety with full responsibility of Emergency Response Plans.Implement, develop and continue all training on Fire/ Evacuation Response Plan including practical firefightingImplement, develop and continue all training on outside threat response plansProvide and educate all security officers on training programs already set in place by the Director of SecurityKnow thoroughly all response plans, crisis management plans and immediate actionsMaintain all Standard Operating and Local Standard Operating Procedures as related to the Security departmentTrain, further educate and orient all Security Officers under your direct responsibilityImpart ACCOR policies and procedures on all Security OfficersImpart the “Code of Ethics” on all security officersParticipate in training sessions as provided by the hotel’s Human Resources DepartmentParticipate in all Health and Safety meetings and be a permanent member of the health and safety teamContribute to improvement and development of the Security Department with written recommendations submitted to the Director of SecurityAttend to all areas of the colleague survey making sure the standards of the Security Department are upheldLiaise with Government authorities and be familiar with all regulationsControl all security shifts professionally and responsiblyBe subject to a 3 months review after signing this document, of all of the above to ensure expectations are at an exceeding or mastering levelHealth and SafetyEnsure a strong health and safety culture, directing and overseeing workplace safety programs to regulation compliance, employee awareness and an accident free workplace guided by South African Labour Law.A member of the Hotel’s Sustainability Program/Planet 21.QualificationsQualifications:2 years minimum in Security Management5 years minimum in Facility/Workplace securityDiploma/ Certification in Security programs or Law Enforcement etc.Fire safety certificationFirst aid certificationAble to adapt to a multi-national environmentOccupational Health and Safety certification highly regarded
