Remuneration: $63,176.24 Per Annum + Superannuation + Salary Packaging Location: Calvary Mater Newcastle Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Security Officer Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ617512 Applications Close: Thursday, 4th December 2025 Master Licence Number – 407686382 About The Role We are seeking a professional and experienced Security Officer to join our team in providing 24-hour security - ensuring the safety and protection of staff, patients, visitors and government high-value assets Key responsibilities include attending alarms and code blacks, conducting regular rounds, and engaging proactively with staff, visitors, and patients. You will be equipped with necessary resources such as uniforms, radios and required PPE during your shifts to facilitate seamless communication and operational effectiveness, whilst ensuring your own personal safety. You will be supported with ongoing operational training and will be assessed regularly against local and district guidelines and policies. You will be assigned to experienced Officers during your training phase and will be given opportunities to progress your career through a number of different pathways. About You We require a Security Officer who is reliable, very professional, and physically fitIs able to work all rostered 8-hour shifts across a 24/7 rosterDemonstrates strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and show initiative when requiredCommunicates effectively with all stakeholders, maintains confidentiality at all times and approaches all situations with compassion and professionalism Requirements Current NSW Security Licence - Class 1ACurrent Senior First Aid Certificate Current Driver's Licence - Class C (NSW eligibility) Additional Information If you are currently employed with HNE Health in a position of the same grade, you may not need to submit an online application to be considered.
