Security Operations Specialist

About the RoleAs a Security Operations Consultant, you’ll play a critical role in protecting the bank’s digital infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats. You will operate within the Security Operations Center (SOC) to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents while also contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in processes and tools.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts and incidents to ensure timely identification and mitigation of threats.Lead or support incident response activities, including containment, eradication, and recovery.Perform vulnerability assessments and collaborate with IT and risk teams to implement corrective measures.Develop and maintain security monitoring dashboards and documentation (SIEM, SOAR, EDR tools).Support threat intelligence activities and proactively recommend improvements to enhance detection capabilities.Liaise closely with compliance and governance teams to ensure alignment with internal policies and banking regulations (e.g., NIS2, ISO 27001, EBA guidelines).Provide technical guidance and ensure knowledge transfer within the security and IT teams.ProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a Security Operations, SOC Analyst, or Incident Response role, ideally within the banking sector.Strong understanding of network security, endpoint protection, SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel), and threat analysis.Knowledge of regulatory frameworksExcellent communication skills in French and English; Dutch is a plus.
