Job Description

ContextJoin a dynamic team at Akkodis Belgium working on a high-impact defense retrofit project for one of our major customer: upgrading and integrating telecommunication and sensor systems into existing military ground vehicles. You will be at the heart of systems engineering and network architecture, contributing to enhanced battlefield communication capabilities. Ideal Candidate ProfileWith a Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, you have a solid foundation in systems engineering and a good grasp of telecom or IT network, ideally within defense or critical infrastructure environments.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and formalize network and system specifications aligned with project needs.Design technical architectures for systems onboard military vehicles.Contribute to the integration of telecom and network equipment.Produce and manage requirements documentation using MBSE practices.Collaborate with mechanical and electronic designers on harness and cable layout.Support integration and validation teams during testing phases.Investigate and resolve technical issues and provide corrective actions.Lead specific technical workstreams and act as technical focal point for subsystems.Technically you should have : Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with tools like Capella or Enterprise Architect.Knowledge of network architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, serial protocols).Experience in telecommunication systems, sensor integration, or military communications.Understanding of cabling and harness design, ideally with tools like Visio or SolidWorks.Proficiency with tools such as DOORS, PLM, JIRA.Background in electronic system design, radio systems, or embedded systems.Nice to HaveExperience in software development, particularly in integration environments.Understanding of cybersecurity and encryption systems in military contexts.Familiarity with defense certification documentation (SSS, SSDD, ICDs).Knowledge of IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, Qualification) processes.Soft Skills and LanguagesStrong communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and proactively.Team-oriented, organized, and analytical.Fluency in English (B2 minimum); French and/or Dutch is a plus.
